My opinion, it all depends on your body type and some other factors. If you are a small person like 5' tall then 165 is obviously a lot of weight. But considering your height 165 is nothing out of this world. I don't see it as an unhealthy weight as long as you take care of urself and stay active and drink a lot of water. This is what I do. I have fought with my weight all my life. Im 24 and weigh what you do and have been about this same weight for about 6 years now since I lost a lot more weight (I used to be 220 - now that is a lot of weight) ofcourse I would love to drop more but I am not unhappy with myself now. The biggest thing is accepting how you are. This took me forever, but once I did, I have dealt with my weight much better and in a much more realistic and sensible way. Ofcourse doctors and gyms have always told me that I should be a certain weight and to an extent I understand and agree. One thing I know is that I am not a small girl, built wise. I could never be 130 lbs. and look good. I would look sick. I am 5ƌ" and have a thick body type (does having a cuban *** count for anything..hehe =P ) Ofcourse I work out and try and eat healthy and as much as I could stand to loose some weight I think I am very healthy for my height and age. So in answer to your question, I think there i no need to kill urself and consider urself unhealthy. If you eat right and stay active you can have a very healthy life. =P

Your main concern is just being active in your teens. Don't let your weight become an obsession. At my club we train many kids that are in their teens and the biggest area that we focus on is eating right, and having an active lifestyle (only in cases of extreme obesity do we really dive into big lifestyle changes). Take look at what you are eating and enroll at your local gym, or get into a sport. Remember, when it deals with your body it is good to have a pro set up a routine that will safely and effectively get you to your goal with diet and exercise. Don't get into these fad diets, and don't listen to your peers as they don't have the expertise. As I suggested have someone experience in this area help you. Learn how to have a healthy lifestyle now and it will help you maintain this in your life later. Good luck!

your BMI (Body Mass Index) is 25.8, that puts you above the 95 percentile, which indicates that you are at the risk of becoming overweight. the healthy weight range for you would be 105-153. you can calculate your BMI more accurately for future reference by the link i have included.

5ft is about 100 pds. and every inch above that is supposed to be 5 pds. to lose weight do cardio workouts....remeber you cant spot reduce (think if you do sit ups youll lose fat there.) you only lose fat by sweating! (((or liposuction but i dont think thats a good option :))

If you're a guy, you can turn that into muscle and it would be a good weight. If you're a girl, that's a bit chubby.
