    I'm 5ཇ", female, 21, 167lbs. I exercise doing cardio daily, and weights 3x week. I do my best to eat as healthy as possible.
    Sample menu
    Breakfast: oatmeal with mixed berries with a glass of soymilk
    Snack: 1/3 cup trail mix & a grapefruit
    Lunch: home-made vegetable soup + a slice of 12-grain whole wheat bread
    Snack: 1 fat-free yogurt & an apple & a clementine
    Supper: Home-made vegetable quesdila.
    No, I don't eat this EVERY DAY, this is only a sample of what I may eat on a random day.
    But, despite my 1hr of cardio + possibly weights (depending on day of week), and eating healthy, I'm stuck at 170lbs which is barely in my healthy weight range. Barely. I'd like to lose another 15-20.
    I change my cardio activity DAILY. One day it may be zumba, another jogging, another swimming, another badminton, etc
    Is a dietician the correct person to ask regarding why this has been happening (plateau'd for 6 weeks) and how I can stop it?

    Yes, a dietitian or a nutritionist is the correct person to talk too. A nutritionist falls underneath a dietitian. I have a nutritionist who helps with my eating plan, I am curious why you are not losing weight because your healthy eating plan is well balanced.

    Hi there
    A Dietitian maybe very helpful but it's not uncommon to hit plateau's while working out. This can be a period in which your body is shifting from it's fatty state to making greater muscle mass. So it may not seem to you that you're not loosing weight because you are gaining more muscle but you are. You would need your Doctor or a trainer to check your body mass index to confirm this for you sure. But... the really great thing about these periods levelling is that all of a sudden your weight will start to drop very quickly after as your again muscle. Muscle burns fat even when it's at rest that's the really great thing about muscle. If you ever checked someone who is training hard you'll see periods of about two weeks weight again and about week to ten days of levelling off. The human body seems to need these cycles to build and rebuild.
    I noticed one thing from your diet list, your protein intake is very poor it is not that high and you need that protein. I would say this maybe the good reason why you have flattened out for as long as you have. Your body may be looking for that protein but it's not there. You need a protein drink in the morning so your body has it's building materials and you can gain more muscle. You may also need to Kick up your exercise program by two or three levels, over the next week or two, you can get rid of the extra fat and then after it is off - you can step back down one or two levels and maintain from there on.
    To be doing your best for yourself in your workouts you have to be keeping your heat rate over 120 beats per minute for 30 to 45 minutes - to truly be get best health benefits over of your work outs and do more for yourself than simply "weight control health improvements" - weight loose is great but to improve your over all health to add years to your life is what you need to do. So if you want to extend you life by 10 to 15 years than is were you have to be heading.
    I can honestly say I meet one of first Mr. Universe competitors from back in early 1950's or so and he looked like he was 50 to 60 years old and he moved like a twenty year man. I was totally shocked when I found out that he was 85 years old. I thought I was being lied to put his ID provide it.
    A little more than you needed but I hope this helps you. But you're doing good now so keep up the hard work you'll make your goals.
