2007-11-15 13:43:57I haven't tried it, I have tried TrimSpa and Lipitor tho. Lipitor, I didn't stay on very long because that was right before I became ttc. I didn't have any results at all. The TrimSpa was pretty good tho, it made me not want to eat anything.
Also, I have been overweight all of my life really, and got worse when I was 11 because my boobs burst out lol... I have tried all kinds of things like stacker and white cross (which was WONDERFUL!) and I even walked 2 hours every day for about a month and didn't lose a pound. Count your calories... say start out eating 1800 calories per day for the first week and then 1500 the next. Plan out your meals before you start, or atleast a few meals so you can see the whole weight loss plan more clearly, put what time you will eat. I always ate 3 hours apart and never over 300 calories at a time and I lost 70 pounds in less than 5 months!! I didn't exercise either. I didn't take any pills... well I took TrimSpa every now and then but not consistantly. I walked only when I felt like it... 70 pounds!!!!!!!!! Just try it out. Eat anything you want, just portion it out correctly.
Btw, the reason for eating every three hours and no more than 300 cals at a time is because you only eat how many calories you can burn off... In three hours you will have burned off all the calories and will be hungry again and you just cannot go hungry--it will cause your metabolic rate to drop which will hinder your goal of losing weight. The reason for changing your calorie limit every week is because your body will get used to the new eating habits and will react by addapting... your metabolic rate will change to where 1800 calories per day will be what you need to "maintain" your weight, not lose weight. So when you reduce your calories you have to always change it up the next week, such as increasing by 200 or reducing by 200, or 300, or 100, just whatever you can handle. But, if you are hungry EAT. You can also take those flintstones vitamins or women's once a day to make sure you are not losing any nutrients.

2007-11-16 05:06:50With what some of the others have said, those pills will suddenly make you have the urge togo #2. That is if you eat alot of fat. I hurd ppl call into the radio station when it first went OTC. It also says it on their bottle, that you may want to wear dark colored pants. Not kidding either. definitley do some research.
Also it is a good idea to take a break from ttc while dieting. I would set a goal. Don't loose the weight to fast. I think it is around 1-2 lbs a week that is healthy. Other wise it can mess with you hormones, which in the end could make it even harder when ttc.
Good Luck.
I have also heard that weight watchers is also a good weight loss program, I plan on trying this I want to lose at least 10 lbs, but my goal is 15.

If you want look it up online www.wdworkshop.com hope I helped if you have any questions about it let me know. good luck

2007-11-15 13:37:32My mother in law suffered through a month on them and said she was running to the bathroom like crazy. I think she lost 8 pounds she said but she jokes that she pooped it all out. She has been off those pills for 2 months and has gained the 8 pounds back so she must have been right about that. I would talk to your doctor before trying any diet pill because a lot of them have negative effects on your body. I would recommend joining a gym and talking to a nutritionalist there and starting that way (plus you could continue to ttc while doing that). You don't need meds to lose weight. Best wishes with this goal you have!!!!!!

2007-11-15 14:53:06It is not fare to say that "good Ole fashioned diet and exercise" will make you loose weight, you have to make the commitment and life change for the rest of your life in order to loose and keep the weight off. I had to do the most drastic and get gastric bypass done in order for me to loose weight and keep it off. my metabolism got so messed up with dieting and taking pills that it stopped and I would just keep gaining no matter what I done. I even had allot of medical problems that comes with being morbidly obese. when I got my surgery in Feb 06 I weighed 270 pounds. I am 5Ɖ" and I am now 135 and enjoying life to its fullest, I have gone from a size 28 plus size to a size 8 in Juniors. now I am not saying that what i had to do is the way you should go, but taking diet pills does do more harm then good to your body, but you are a grown women and can make that decision for yourself and if you want to try them then go for it, but please do as much research as you can about them before you take them and please talk to your doctor about your weight loss goals and efforts, that way you can be monitored for safety and be much better off along your journey to your weight loss goals. good luck what ever you decide.
please keep this in mind along your way
" you did not gain weight over night and there for it will not go away over night"

2007-11-15 13:11:29i wouldn't recommend weight loss pills when ttc... they can mess with your hormones and balance of your body... the best way to lose weight is the old fashioned way (diet and exercise)... plus, if you use weight loss pills, when you stop, you will gain it all back... and i can tell you (from experience) that some of them make you feel weird (i took some that made me feel hypoglycemic, which only makes you eat more!!) good luck!! =)

2007-11-15 13:31:05One thing---Stay away from those stinkin Alli pills....they make you poop your pants. I have read some terrible things about them.
Second-I know you say you are overwieght, and with all your fertility problems, it wouldn't hurt to lose a little, but I would not recommend any diet pills. They are unhealthy for your body, and nothing can replace diet and excercise. I know its easier said than done, but you have the best motivation, because we all know how bad you want your baby! If you would like to talk a little more about it, email me. I would recommend www.discoveryhealth.com for alot of good reads on getting in tip top shape.
BTW I never thought I would hear you say you were gonna take a break from TTC...threw me off a bit! lol I wish you the best sweetie.
Add: I in no way mean to be offensive to you, I was just giving you advice I would give my closest friends.
