Ask:Are there any good FDA approved weight loss drugs
2006-07-19 05:24:01Does anyone know of any FDA approved prescription weight loss drugs?? I would like to find one that will help me loose weight quickly, but no speed. I know there are so many over the counter pills that are all caffine, but are there any prescription pills that really work? I've hear about a gastric bypass pill, without surgery.

2006-07-19 06:09:31Yes, my doctor prescribed Xenical for me 6 yrs ago. I weighed over 200 lbs. Now I weigh 142. Xenical prevents the absorption of fat in the body. It is only a crutch, but a great one. All foods contain fat, so you take one with each meal. This will not allow any fat to be absorbed in your body. It also lowered my cholesterol from 300 to 150. There are no harmful side effects. i still take them but only once a day now just to maintain my weight. Write to me and I'll give you some more details in private. This is great.

2006-07-19 05:34:33There is one which is called Orlistat or "OTC." This was once a prescribed drug, but in January, the FDA APPROVED it for over-the-counter resale. I am wondering about how much weight are you trying to lose. Because if its not much, maybe the natural way is even better. Because even this drug, after discontinued use, people were begining to put weight back on again. I have great tips on losing weight. Let me know if this helped.
