2006-09-18 20:11:00Try Lipo-6. Otherwise? My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

2006-09-16 12:05:33NO!!!!!!!!!!! I work as a pharmacy tech. There are no safe weight loss medicines. Laxatives will only deprive your body of nutrients it needs. The only thing that will work is diet and exercise!!!

2006-09-16 12:05:45no there are really no pills over the counter or prescription pills that work to give anyone a permanent weight loss. Weight loss occurs with some pills as a side effect. Maintaining your diet and exercising is the only way to be lose weight and be fit.

2006-09-16 12:13:09But do slimming pills really work? Currently in the UK, there are only two anti-obesity drugs available on prescription ??“ Xenical (Orlistat) and Reductil (Sibutramine). These work in completely different ways. Xenical blocks the action of lipase, the enzyme that digests fat in the intestine and stops around 30 percent of the fat you???ve eaten from being absorbed. As a result, your body loses around a third of the calories provided by this fat so you start to lose weight! In contrast, Reductil enhances satiety by indirectly boosting levels of serotonin, a chemical that helps you feel full. This means you feel more satisfied with less food and so eat smaller amounts and lose weight.

2006-09-17 05:12:01Weight loss pills are widely advertised as a quick method to lose weight. These are food supplements and are not regulated by the FDA or any authority. Some weight loss pills may help you lose weight for a short time, but after a month or so, the body becomes immune to them.I found information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspi...

2006-09-16 12:06:27No. There are no safe, otc weight loss pills that work. I am a health care professional, and I don't even think the prescription pills work well. They are working on new ones, but I think it will be a while before there is an effective weight loss pill.
When it comes out, I will be taking it, too :)
Reca and snowdog got it right.
