    okay, so I'm getting married Jan 31st, and my fiance and I are overweight. We have decided to buckle down and go to the gym 5 days a week until the wedding (and after of course, but the wedding is the main goal). We have never really been gym people and are pretty clueless when it comes to working out. We have gone two days now, and the first day we did 15 minutes on the stairmaster, 35 minutes on the treadmill on the fat burn setting, and 15 minutes on a machine that is like riding a bike for your arms. Then yesterday we did 45 minutes on the treadmill on the fat burn setting, and 15 minutes on the bike machine for the arms.
    We would like an idea of what to as far as cardio and weights and what is going to be the best weight loss workout for quick results!
    I am more active then my fiance, but we need to ween into it so that we don't give up because its hard, also weight recommendations as far as actually weight and reps. He is 6ƈ" and i'm 5"10 (25yo and 22yo)

    i think you should diet first before working out. maybe diet for a couple of weeks to lose the extra pounds first. if you say you're overweight now, what working out is going to do is convert your fats to muscles so that you're really not gonna be smaller, you're just going to be muscular. but you also said, you only do cardio (not weight lifting) right now. and i think this is also going to decrease the excess fat.
