Loosing weight should be something you should do if you know it would improve your health. Eating foods low in fat and high in carbohydrates can help encourage weight loss as part of a healthy balanced diet. Let me begin by defining what this is it is a diet consisting of whole foods that are organic when possilbe and not processed. The majority of a balanced diet should consist of carbohydrate foods like whole oats, rice with fruit and vegetables, it should also be low in fat, sugar and salt, dairy products and meat The latter two should be taken sparingly, if ever. This type of diet is rich in all nutrients that your body needs and low in the things you body do not need much of. Weight loss will occur on a diet like this , you can eat a lot of this food and frequently, there is no need to reduce food intake as this food does not cause weight gain.
exercise can improve your health in many ways too, but I do not think you should do exercise for the purpose of trying to loose weight, do it because you love it and do exercise with friends. No one ever does exercise for the purposes of loosing weight and is able to do it on a long term basis. If you do it for six weeks and then choose to go back to your old routine it will just make you unhappy and regretting stopping the exercise. Changing between doing exercise and not doing exercise increases depression, low mood and premature death. If you do not feel like you would want to exercise don't do it. It is better to not exercise and wait until you find something you really sincerely love and want to do for the rest of your life.

2008-05-15 13:56:01Jump rope is probably my fav exercise. It is so easy to do you can burn just as many calories per hour jump roping as you can running. It is SO much more healthy for your body overall than going to the gym and running on a tread mill or swimming. There is really nothing else better than jump rope for an overall work out plus its great for weight loss. You can do it in your house if you have room or in your back yard so you don't need to go running around the block and worry about dogs attacking ya. Go to wal mart or a sports store by a speed rope make sure it has ball bearings and a vynal rope. You will never get a better cardio work out than this trust me :D

But doing some cardio is also a great warm up.Maybe switching it up like every other day with cardio and lifting. DOnt be afraid of lifting weights tho you will not get buff....which alot of people think.
