i'm about to have my little one in about 3-5 weeks, and i want to start losing weight soon after. i'll be breast feeding so i know that works well. but have any of you gone on some kind of program or did something to lose weight?

2007-06-12 17:00:29Like others I've heard that breast feeding will give you the jump you need with weight loss. The trouble with that is that you have to be careful what you eat so that you don't give the baby gas!
I'd say eat sensibly and exercise. Getting up at at all hours with the baby will wear you out. Sleep while the baby sleeps, while the baby is awake put some exercise in your routine. Also I've read (and done it myself) that if you drink 24 oz of milk in a 24 hour period that it boosts your metabolism. This has worked for me, give it a try. Work out! Work out! Work out!

What you do to start depends on if you were active when you were pregnant.
Try taking the baby out in the stroller for a brisk walk...swimming...maybe a light cardio or aerobics class..
