Ask:Body imageself-esteem issues after weight loss

I lost 70 pounds and still trying to lose about 20 lbs. However, I have been wearing more flattering clothing for my new body and wearing skirts and receiving positive attention that I am "weirded" out by. I want to wear new styles of clothing that I was not comfortable wearing as a larger person, but having a hard time dealing with the attention that comes along with it. These styles are not inappropriate, just more dresses, more fitted and stylish. Need advice on how to deal, particularly from anyone who has lost weight and looks a lot different than before losing. My mind has not caught up with my weight loss yet. Thanks!

There are a lot of "Perv's" out there. It only takes time to get used to all of the wierd comments that you are receiving from everybody else. I'm assuming it's from guys. I lost a total of 75 pounds and had to go through the whole mental change that took a lot longer and harder than losing the weight.
Just remember how much better you feel physically and give it time. Take the comments with a grain of salt and allow time to catch you up!

You need to learn how to be assertive.
If you are getting unwanted attention, either ignore it or let the person(s) that you are not interested.
Also if you are going for a walk, shopping or doing something casual, dont dress up, dress down so it will be clear that you didnt come out to 'hook up'
