2008-03-07 09:32:56Eating soup for a diet will help you lose weight, but if you don't sustain your calories, you won't have the energy to cheer lead. Why not try eating 5 small meals a day, and do plenty of exercising to keep fit. This is what was offered to me, and it keeps me fit, and also keeps me from snacking. =)
Lovingly,
Mom

2008-03-07 09:32:55Most likely 1 pound a week if you exercise for an hour a day maybe 2 pounds a week. YES the weight will stay off if you make that lifestyle change.
You say you're already a normal size so you want to get skinny for cheering?

2008-03-07 09:36:29If you`re already a normal size, then what you`re trying to do is become" Abnormal ". Why the Hell`d you want to do that ???????. you`re health is something that`ll stay ( or not ) with you for the rest of your life whilst Cheerleading is a passing thing. I`d suggest that you get your priorities right.

2008-03-07 09:37:08The cabbage soup diet is ok, but not really necessary.
If you rid your diet of all refined sugars, white flour, and hydrogenated oils, keep hydrated by drinking 8-10 8oz glasses of water (and yes I mean water not diet soda) and keep your intake from 1000 to 1200 calories per day you should loose weight in a way that you can keep it off.
After you have acheived your goal weight you can increase your calorie intake due to the high activity level of cheerleading, but if you begin to gain again drop back down.
You should not bounce your diet up and down too much or too often, it confuses your body. Get to your goal weight and then just make sure you take in only the calories you will burn in a day.
Good luck to you!
