Now if they were to eat more calories than that in a day, they will gain weight. Now to lose weight try eating 10% less than the amount of calories you need each day to maintain your weight. In this example, that would be 1350 calories. Don't overdo it though, because if you drastically reduce you calorie intake, your body's metabolism will slow down and you will find it harder to lose weight. And when you get you diet and exercise routine going good, then add in weights to complete the fitness trinity.
