    Im also going to buy a skipping rope as we r stepping into summer...ive got a rowing machine as well but for some reason i cant use it for more then 10 minutes it aches my body...i just jog everyday for a couple of miles but now that ive lost quite a bit of weight its becoming difficult to lose the extra pounds esp from my tumm and bum...any advice? also baring in mind im on a healthy diet...

    it always gets harder when you're trying to lose those last few pounds. because you're always doing the same sort of cardiovascular exercise, you've most probably hit a plateau. the best thing to do since your body has adapted to the jogging, is a different sort of cardiovascular exercise (i.e swimming or cycling) and try a resistance workout to specifically target the abs and glutes. there are some examples of abs here: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/abdom...

    your probably just hitting a plateau so you have to change your routine up a bit to get your body losing again.
    have you ever tried "Cardio Coach" ?
    you can use it with any cardio machine (treadmille, elliptical etc...) or when walking/jogging. its an mp3 exercise routine and you get told when to warm up, when to get in a steady pace, and doing challenges (where you either up your speed, incline, resistance etc...). so if you use it and you are jogging and you are told to "climb a hill for 20 seconds" and there are no hills around just make a fast sprint for the 20 seconds.

    yeah you can only get down to a certain weight that is right for your body without becoming seriously ill.
    The rowing machine is probably using muscles that you aren't used to using and will become easier with time.
    Doing exercises that work the tum and bum will help tone the muscles underneath any fat. Combine this with a healthy diet and your other fat burning activities and you will continue to burn off the fat.

    The extra pounds are always the hardest to shift, why not try jogging/walking up hill. it will help tone the you tum and bum as well as your thighs and help you drop those extra few pounds!

    if you want to lose weight ....drink lots of water......keeps your metabolism going without the calories.....( 2-3 litres per day...more if your exercising...)
