2008-03-15 09:55:17They do help with Water wieght but its very unhealthy to use them. If your not careful with them you can dehidrate and then die. so the best way would just eat small portions throughout the day. eat from all the food groups and the correct calorie intake with your exercise. the only thing sweat suits do is make you lose your wieght in water. it doesnt affect the fat

2008-03-15 10:02:36although the effect is weight loss apart from it being really bad for you it is not a perminant solution as as soon as you start drinking again all the water you have lost has been replaced in to your system and before long you will be back to what you were before the best way to shed those pounds are to get yourself to the local leasure center, gym or go for a run!
Answer:Do sweat suits work for weight loss Or is it temporary
2008-03-15 10:51:07Unfortunately, only temporary. Just like diets. They are temporary as well. If only there was a magic formula.
The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make sure you burn more calories than you consume. To lose a pound, you have to burn through exercise or life functions about 3,500 calories.
A good way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat a healthy diet and exercise on a regular basis.

2008-03-15 09:57:43It's just sweat loss & you need to not get dehydrated. Real weight loss comes from a diciplined life on a consistant basis & the more fun it is the more a person will stick with it.
Answer:Do sweat suits work for weight loss Or is it temporary
2008-03-15 11:00:57Weight loss is such a meaningless term. As others have written here, you can lose body water (and therefore weight) but it'll go back on again when you re-hydrate.
What you want to lose is body fat, and no sweat suit will help with that.
The main thing with losing weight (fat) is consistency. Don't go blitzing things with a micro diet that makes you crave food. You're just setting yourself up for failure.
Instead, decide on a safe rate of loss (1 to 2 pounds per week), try to burn off half the calories you need for deficit, and reduce food intake to cover the other half.
One pound per week loss would mean burning 3500 calories more than you consume. That's a deficit of 500 calories a day. So 250 of that would be extra exercise, and 250 would be a reduction in food intake.
Do that for long enough and you'll shed the body fat.
Trouble is, most people want to be 100 pounds lighter by tomorrow!
Good luck.
Answer:Do sweat suits work for weight loss Or is it temporary
2008-03-15 09:57:02All weight loss is temporary.
To answer the question I think you meant to ask, Sweat suits can aid in weight loss that isn't just water weight. Sweating is one of the main ways our body expels waste, other than stool excretion and urine. Expulsion of waste means more time for body maintenance, which means a more efficient body, which means better health, etc.
Better health means more weight loss, if the weight you're losing was unhealthily placed there to begin with.
Edit: Make sure to drink a lot of water. Not just one bottle actually drink some damn water. : ) Problem above solved. Also, be sure to dose up on your water soluble minerals and vitamins afterwards. Coconut juice, lemonade (real lemonade), salads, bananas, avocados, multis, etc.
