2007-03-25 22:09:52what you need to lose weight is to make sure the calories you burn are more than the calories you eat. so obviously, if you ran 2-2.5 miles a day and then binged on food the rest of the day, then probably that isn't enough. just calculate the calories you are ingesting and how many calories are burnt running 2 miles and make sure those burnt are more than what you eat.

2007-03-25 22:03:32if u almost sprint it maybe, runnings more of a get in shape thing, not weight loss.. drink lots of water, i mean lots. a glass per 15 minutes.

2007-03-25 23:15:53I think it's a great start. Though, if you haven't been running for a while you really should give you body a rest, running everyday when just starting out is only going to lead to injury. On your day off do some low intensity exercise like a gentle walk or cycle. Good luck!
