Good Lord, you are OK just the way you are. 11 pounds does not mean the world. Start by loving yourself right were you are.
    Next
Spend more calories than you eat. Simple. That is how to lose weight.
    BUT
IF you cut your intake too much, your body will think you are in a famine and slow down the rate at which it burns food. So, slow is the way to go.

South Beach Diet is the best plan i've found. It isn't a DIET. It's a lifestyle and even though the first two weeks restrict a lot of foods (to sort of start anew), you never feel deprived and the science behind it all makes the most sense. The book can be bought almost anywhere, even my library has it!!! And it's worth it. Here's an online cookbook full of SBD friendly recipes, but it's still neccessary to read the book to understand how it all works. Good luck!!! http://www.recipezaar.com/cookbook.php?b...

If you make a few life style changes you should be able to lose the weight within a reasonable time frame. This is a system that has worked well for me and several friends have also been successful with it.
    1. Eat three nutritious meals and three snacks everyday. Cut out junk food. You probably need about 1500 to 1800 calories a day. Many people make the mistake of not eating enough when they try to lose weight and then become discouraged.
    2. Drink lots of water - at least 8 big glasses as day. Lots of water is essential. Stop drinking soda and other drinks with useless calories. Eat fresh fruit instead of fruit juices - the juices are very high in calories.
    3. Begin a simple weight lifting program at home or at a gym. Ordinary household items (tins of soup, for example) can actually serve as weights for beginners. Buy yourself a good weight lifting book for women. Actually the "dummies" series of books has done a rather good one. If you have never done weight lifting before a gym might be a good idea to start so you can get adviced about correct form from a trainer.
    4. Walk, walk, walk. Buy yourself a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day.
    5. Record everything you eat and all your exercise to make sure you have a "calorie deficit". Two of the sites I've included will help you do that. Basically buring more calories than you take in leads to weight loss. You need a deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound.
    6. If you drive, do less of it and park at the back of the parking lot instead of close to the door. Always use stairs - never the elevator or escalator.
    7. A mini stepper is an easy piece to equipment to have at home and gives great results. I bought mine at a second hand store for $4. even if you use it for a minute or two several times a day it can make a big difference.
I hope these thoughts help. Good luck with it.

You can still eat what you want .. but instead of having that amount in 2 meals ... spread it across 5 meals .. that way you don't feel like you ate too much... also this will help you digest food. Try avoiding eating late at night and give yourself 2 hrs to digest the food before going to sleep. Should get atleast 7 hrs of rest on daily base.

    Amy,
First, since you lost weight the wrong way you are going to gain back twice as much. Be prepared.
    Practice good eating habits:
Make water your primary drink of the day. At least 8 glasses.
Make vegetables the bulk of your meals.
    Snack on fresh fruit.
    Eat lean meats.
    NO fast foods!

Better follow MD's advice. You'rnt overweight if it's acc to your height. Your ideal weight should be around
Your height in Cms minus 100. For example, i'm 175 cms, and my ideal weight is around 175 - 100 = 75 Kgs.

The best way is to make behavioral changes in your life in regards to eating healthy and exercising.
If you want to lose a pound of fat a week, then you have to have a caloric output roughly 500 calories greater than your input. It doesnt REALLY matter what you eat, as long as you maintain a good ratio of carbs (40-65%), to fat (10-35%) to protein (10-25%).
Its the answer you hate to hear, but its true. Just count calories and do exercise. Any diet plan would work fine as long as your energy output is greater than your intake.
My only advice would be to not do a diet that completely restricts the intake of a particular nutrient. Look for something balanced and drink lots of water.
    Regards,
    Ryan
