Does not eating ANY sugar make you lose a pound at least a week? If so, have you ever done it? Does it work for you? Is it very hard to do?

I have to agree with PurpleLipz. If you cut out the junk food, sweets like candy, sodas, and fruit cocktails (they sometimes have more sugar than a can of soda and don't confused it with Fruit Juice that's completely different), you could lose a pound a week. Keep in mind that all foods have sugar in them. It's the bad sugar you don't want- The Junky Foods. And it's best that you do that when you exercise. Yes, it's hard. But if you want to lose the weight, you have to be diligent about it.

Me. Lost 20lbs in two months by cutting out the junky sweets and lots of cardio exercise. :)

Did this for a week. Did not change anything else, just cut out the sugar. Didn't work at all. Did not lose an ounce, far less a pound. I felt very demoralized. People do say that it works though. Maybe it takes longer than a week?

Eliminating sugar from your diet, won't work. Because when you get rid of sugar, you'll replace it with something else (carbs) and weight more. And even if you had the willpower to not do that, it would work at first, and you'd have the illusion of weight loss, but eventually your body would get used to it and you'd stop losing weight.

There are several forms of sugar. Even fruits have sugar in them, starches, tons of different kinds. If you mean cutting out junk food and all that "bad" stuff, yes! It'll help for sure. As long as you cut out the bad stuff, cut out soda, cut out breads (at least mostly), and try to increase your exercise, you'll lose weight. Good luck.

Sure! You will lose a LOT of weight because you'll die. The brain uses dextrose. That is D-glucose. That is a sugar. If you do not eat ANY sugar your brain will have no energy source, then you'll die. Isn't that great? It's not sugar tha makes you fat. It's the lack of exercise.

If you eliminate carbs and sugar--including things that metabolize like sugar, breads, pasta, fruits, wine, beer, etc, it will work.
I would try and eliminate refined sugars from your diet. That will help a great deal.

I tried it a year ago and yes your body needs sugar but the one that comes from fruit will be fine research the diet "sugar busters" lost 20 lbs in 4 months after 2 weeks you won't miss the sugar and if you snack on a little piece of cake you'll be fine , won't crave more because your body get use to not having that. You won't die like someone said before. but eat a lot of fruits.
