2007-08-14 11:05:22I want to lose some weight, about 15 lbs a month. School starts tomorrow, and so it will be a little hard to find out how many calories are in each piece of food, but... I have volleyball practice for 2-2 1/2 hrs after school for about 2-3 months plus games. When I get home from school, my plan is to do Leslie Sansone's 2-Mile Walk (30 min) and then Denise Austin's 'Get Fit Fast' (for abs) video levels 1 and 2 (10 min each level). then if I have time, I am going to try to ride my bike 3-4 miles (9-12 x's around my block) And then on Saturdays, I will try to run about 1-3 miles (not all at once) but by doing this for about 3 months, how much weight do you think I could lose a week? btw, I do not have any meal plans to go by so any suggestions would be helpful. I will only eat about 1,000 calories a day. And please don't say "eat whole grains or whatever" something like "1 cup of special k cereal with 1/2 cup of skim milk" or anything like that would be helpful. thanks to all who answer!

2007-08-14 11:17:16Way too much. Go to www.mypyramid.gov and find what foods you need to eat daily. 1000 calories is not suffcient for someone your age. You need to do this slowly. This sounds like somthing that would last for about 3 days........

2007-08-14 11:51:201000 Calories is not enough to support basic bodily functions to survive. Not enough even if you just layed in bed all day. You will become sick and your body is going to cannabalize your muscle.
You do not know what you are doing so I suggest you DO NOTHING until you see a doctor and a personal trainer to get you on a solid program to accomplish your goal in a resonable amount of time, and safely.
The over training is also going to cause you to lose muscle.

2007-08-14 11:13:26it sounds lyk you are going to do too much you cant do that much because it will take over your life and once you get into doing it it will be hard to stop and you wont be able t eat more than so many calleries i no i tried sumat simular and ended up anorexic and at the mo am fghting bulimia if you want to loose weight eat healthy like fruit and veg and do sum exercise but not as much so maybe jus do 1 video a night insteat of 2 you dont want a disorder it takes over your life and there are loads of side effects because of it
