Ask:is fast weight loss okay
2008-05-18 21:44:20My freshmen year of college i went from 128-146. I would get discouraged and binge eat outta frustration towards my weight (not a very smart plan now looking back). I have been back 3 days now and i do an hour of cardio everyday and eat three HEALTHY meals, and do not overeat anymore. I have already lost 7 pounds tho...is that okay, b/c i am doing everything the correct way...but everyone makes a big deal about quick weightloss?!?!

Quick weight loss is not necessarily "horrible" but it almost always leads to rapid regain of lost adipose, so I think you're doing the right thing. Medically speaking, cardio is of utmost importance in any number of ways.
In terms of diet, you really might simply consider a sensible low-glycemic diet, eat more hearty breads, green veggies, whole grain products, etc. rather than processed "simple carbs."
Best of luck!
