Ask:I feel like all the work I have done the past three weeks are for nothing I need help .Its a weight loss

I am trying to reach my goal of losing 40 lbs. I have been watching what I eat for the past three weeks and have been working out at the gym. I was doing really well. However, the past 4 days I have done horribly. I was on vacation from work and didnt go to the gym once. Due to a lot of events going on and time didnt allow and on one of those days I ate horribly. Everything I shouldnt have. I am feeling guilty and think that all the work that I have put in for the past three weeks were for nothing and I have to start all over now? Do you think this is true? I am going back to the routine today. Going to be at the gym all this week and this weekend. Did the work that I have done the past few weeks still stick or am I literally starting all over now? I felt I was just making progress. Can anyone advise on this please? I would really appreciat it. Just wondering if the damage has been done. Thanks a bunch.

CHeena we all fall off, we are human. I know the guilt you feel..I fight it all the time. Just pick yourself up and get moving again. Its all good. Just have that talk with yourself, so that next time you can make better choices or not eat as bad or as much. This is why diets don't work, you have to learn to incorporate the normal food in with eating healthy. I'll tell you what worked for me and I still do it today. Get a calorie count book, they are like 8 dollars at a book store. There is everything in there, fast food joints, all food and size portions, This helps with fat grams and calories. Once you face the fact that what your eating is good or bad, you can make better choices and knowledge is power. Like when you find out that a shake at mcdonald is like 20 grams of fat, you are like Hell No I don't want that, its will take me like an hour to burn off alone, you won't want it after knowing. Make sense?
I suggest youget this book...eating healthy isn't all fruits and veggies , you CAN eat real food..
Also, find out your BMR, you can google it and find out howmany calories you should take in a day...that will help you in a big way.
Good luck darlin. You CAN do this....just educate and get it done!!

    I have done it myself....

Your not starting all over, the work that yuo have already done has begun to speed up your metabolism which will help your body be more efficient in burning off calories. It is very good that you recognize that you had "one bad day" and know that you need to be better. Just get back up on that horse and stay the corse. Just a little tip too that might help you out, to lose one pound of body fat, the average male between 18-25 needs to burn 3000 more calories than he takes in.
