I went yesterday to have an endoscopy.It revealed gastritis and the DR gave me meds.
On top of that i have an enlarged prostate.
Im 50 and normally in good health.
Ive noticed recently i am losing weight.No matter what i eat,im losing weight.
My bowels are different also.
I had 2 rectal exams,blood work,fecal occult,and cat scan with contrast of my abdomin and pelvis.
Out side of the enlarged prostate,all is normal.
My stools are brown and look ok.
Im concerned i have colon cancer because of the bowels and weight loss.But this bowel thing can be from the enlarged prostate pushing on rectum or the gastritis?
Can someone please help me because im scared.
Does gastritis affect your bowel movements?
The symptoms of colon cancer are weight loss,fatigue,bowel issues.
Gastritis is the same im told.
My concern is the weight loss.Ive lost 10 pounds in a month.But im told gastritis can do that because it affects digestion.
I also never really eat and i do run alot.

Don't second guess these things, go have a colonoscopy.
