I am a twenty one year old female and in total I have about 50 pounds to lose. I want to be healthy and I need tips. I feel I do the right things but the weight is not coming off. I eat healthy right now I am eating around 1200 calories because I pinched a nerve and I can not exercise. I am having trouble reaching 1200 calories. For example yesterday I ate 2 egg whites with veggies a turkey sandwhich for lunch and a cup of whole wheat pasta with red sauce and veggies. Normally when I was not hurt is I walk/ lightly jog for 45 min to an hour 3 to 5 times a week. What do I need to change to lose weight.

the best thing i can recommend to lose weight, is count your calories. dont eat because it's time to eat. eat because you're hungry! when i eat, i like to sit down in the quiet, and really listen to myself if i'm still hungry. generally, 4 or 5 bites of food gets me satisfied so i stop there! of course, i eat more frequently ( 5-6) times a day, but that still only adds up to about 1000-1200 calories.
also, dont think of weight loss and dieting as a punishment. think of it as a fun hobby! if you see dieting as a punishment, you'll only want those foods you're avoiding more. instead, think about all the fun healthy recipes you can look up and cook. you'll realize that your appetite for unhealthy foods will decrease a lot once you get in the habit of eating healthy food.
since i'm a compulsive dieter, this is what i've realized works! by doing this, i maintain my weight of 125 pounds at 5ƍ.

A good balanced diet is always the key! And it sounds like you are doing great at that. However Diet combined with water and exercise is what melts the weight. Burning calories. So as soon as you are up for it, get back on a daily exercise routine. Try zumba, or a fun DVD.. Ripped in 30 by jillian Michaels works wonders! Total body workout, targeting different areas.
But back to the water if you aren't drinking enough water your body could be retaining it which would cause you to gain weight. Also try squeezing a lemon in the water its natural enzymes help to detox the body and gives you more energy.
