I know I need to exercise, but I have to do one thing at a time. Once I get good eating habits down I plan on including exercise in my weight loss plan. Its just in the past I always failed when I tried to do it all at once. Kinda looking for a lil motivation to keep up the good habits I started for the new year. Thanks for any responses!

I lost 65 pounds in 4 months i cut out beef and pork and anything fried!! I did not eat after 6 pm I lost weight fast and still drank wine ! I ate 1 Breakfast jack w/o meat and took off the top bun,
for lunch a chicken salad from whataburger with fat free italian dressing, and for dinner a chicken breast with veggies or side salad! I would drink a lot of water and when I went out I drank red wine. I went from a size 18 to a size 8!!! These guys in my class use to make fun of me being fat, and in 4 months they were asking me out!! I said no because by then I was out of their league!!! For snacks I ate pretzles only a few!!

Weight loss is impacted more by what you eat not exercise. Although exercise will definitely make your body healthier it is not necessary to lose weight. Cutting 500 calories a day will result in a 1 lb weight loss/week. Since that is quite a bit of food sometimes it's easier to stick with a "diet" if you do exercise because it will allow you to eat the same amount of food you are accustomed to. So to answer your question...yes you will lose weight IF you eat less/healthier and drink more water to help your body clean itself out and work more efficiently.

I lost 30 lbs in about five months, and just added walking to my exercise. I stopped eating fast food, or if I "had" to I got grilled chicken sandwiches and drank water. I tried to drink as much water as I could stand, in fact. I also started keeping track of my weight by using the website I posted below. It is free -- no gimmicks or anything, and it helped me A LOT. I didn't follow their food plans, but I became VERY aware of every meal! Good luck.

I tried to lose weight for years, ate less, went vegan, etc. nothing worked because it was boring and I didn't stick with it.
2 years ago I finally went to Weight Watchers, it was very helpful and motivating and the point system made it pretty easy - you decide what is worth eating toward your points - that simple.
I ate enough, but thought about it before I ate food high in calories (points) and subsituted veggies, whole grains, fruit, lean meat.
The weight came off slowly, this is not a diet, it is a whole new way of eating, not difficult once you get started and you have some points for that splurge when you really want it.
Took me about 6 months, but I didn't starve myself or go crazy exercising, though I did walk almost every day, but not really fast, just at least a half to an hour - I lost 40 lbs, and got back to a size 4. Was not hard or unpleasant at all - I would recommend that over fad diets any day.
    Good luck.
