Call around, try Walmart or Sam's...but there are no generics for drugs like Xenical, so you won't find anything much cheaper.

Sounds like the stuff I had...Pentamine or something like that...anyway, i slowly lost weight with it, but when i stopped taking it, it came right back on. :(

Hold off on the prescription stuff. I took a prescription weight loss drug and I got very, very sick. I had to be hospitalised! I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. total rip off. there is NO diet pill in the WORLD that will get you thin. Ok, ask your pharmist this: A personal trainer told you it is bad for you to take diet/weight loss pills because it ruins my metabolism. this is what happens to your metabolism.
Without pills and you workout 3 times weekly your metabolism goes up and makes you burn calories more.
With diet pills you are causing your metabolism to increase with the pills. Making your metabolism to work only on the pills. But guess what the pharmicist don't tell you: If you stop taking the pills your metabolism will no longer know how to work on it's own. it will fall so far down that burning on your own will be 10x harder.
If you plan to stay on the pills for the rest of your life OK then do what you need to.
Overall, working out and burning more calories then what you intake is the key.
