Ask:Help reducing stress and helping weight loss
2012-01-27 18:53:26 +0000Hello all! I am desperately trying to lose weight. I've done weight watchers in the past and it has worked great (16 lbs in 6 weeks!). I went off over the holidays and started it back up again about 2 weeks ago. i use the Iphone app to keep track of points and have been following the program to a tee…even working out a few times a week doing cardio and weight training. However, it seems that instead of losing weight, I have been gaining. I have no idea why or how this is happening and stress really didn't seem like a factor until just the other day.
Things at work have been very hectic. I'm interviewing for an opportunity to open my own branch of the company I work for and (as the primary sales person here in my current office) am staying at work late every night to get ahead on sales goals. Basically trying to do 6 months worth of sales in 3 months. On top of that, I've been getting my business plan ready for my interview, practicing my presentation, etc. Very very busy. Not a big deal for me though, since I generally thrive on a fast-paced environment. Last week, my boss's mother passed away, which left us short-staffed and me essentially running our office. I didn't think anything of it just took the role and ran with it. Then it happened...
3 days ago my chest started hurting. Felt like a cramp that I could not stretch out. It was a dull ache to the point where sometimes it felt like it was crushing my trachea. It lasted for 2 days until finally, I took an anti0anxiety med that was given to me from a family member (I know, I know...never take prescriptions unless they're your own), combined with 2 asprin. The following day (yesterday), I had a period where I was dizzy while sitting at my desk for about an hour. Since then, I've been fine. This makes me think I might be under a bit more stress that I realized. I'm not one for deep breathing and all that jazz. Quite frankly, I just don't have time for it. Now I'm thinking this weight gain might have something to do with stress as well. So my question is this...
Is this stress or something physiological that I need to get checked out. And, if it is stress, is there a supplement (or can my doctor prescribe something) that will help reduce the stress and help me get this weight off. Please help! I'm so frustrated I just want to cry. Never before have I followed a diet and exercise plan and NOT lost weight. What is happening??? Help!

2012-01-27 19:37:09 +0000Well weight loss is never easy but neither are most things in our lives. We all have demons in our closet that seem unbeatable. It was 7 months ago when I finally decided to face mine and lose enough weight to see my abs. I started out weighing at 254 pounds. I admit I slipped a few times and tried a few failing ideas and the magical fat loss pills that have never worked for anybody in the world but they still get to sell the crap. After a while I came across a site called http://31dayfatlossscure.com . That is where I watched the first video that made me decide to change my life and lose the weight. You should give a couple minutes out of your day to watch it to they give you a crap load of free information. After about 8 months I found myself weighing at 167. I’m very proud of myself at the moment and work hard to keep myself proud. In the end all you got to do is always give 110% at what you want to do in life and it will come true. I wish you truly the best luck in your journey to lose weight and hope you stick with it.
