    I have been trying to lose weight for years and I just keep gaining. Eating like a rabbit and working out for hours doesn't do any good. Please give me some advice. My doctor just keeps telling me to do weight watchers and exercise which is not working. I think something is really wrong with me.

    have you ever fasted because if you have that can ruin your metabolism and ur body gets confused and when u gain and loose weight like a yo yo then can also confuse it and you might not be able to take the weight off if that was the case
    But if u havnt starved or had a yo yo diet then i have know idea just keep on eating healthy and exercising and im sure it will help sooner or later(:

    You do not violate the laws of physics. If you gain weight, it is because you consume more calories than you burn.
    You might be tricking yourself into believing that you are eating less than you actually are. Try weighing everything you eat.
    Maybe talking to a psychologist or social worker would help.
    (I have lost 60 pounds in the last year.)

    Oh, you can eat fruits and vegetables. But please get rid of CARBONATED DRINKS spicy, fatty, and sweets. Simply drink 12-15 glasses of water a day. Try to do these for 3 months. Coz I lose weight from 76 kilos to 62 kilos in 3 months. And nowadays, I am maintaining my weight from 56 kilos to 58 kilos. Actually, I am on my 4th year and 5 months already :)

    There is a plethora of possibilities:
    It could be hypothyroidism. Check out websites like Stop the Thyroid Madness and ask your doctor for a blood test.

    It could also be that you're not eating enough. When you don't eat enough your body thinks that you're starving and tries to hold on to every ounce of fat that you have. Check out Obesity at 700 Calories per Day. It's a good introduction to the concept of "starvation mode".

    This may sound a bit familiar, but do you track your calories? How many calories are your eating? I assume that if you've been dieting for years you are fairly competent with the whole calorie counting thing, but you never know.... there are some people who underestimate their intake.
    Are you "of a certain age"? As we get older our metabolisms slow, so that could possibly account for some weight gain.
    Talk to your doctor. If he or she just keeps telling you the same things over and over, they are clearly not listening to you. Get another doctor, one who will trust you, or a nutritionist. I used to have the same problem. It makes you feel terrible when you're trying your hardest and everyone around you just says that your hardest must not be hard enough!

    Screw weight watchers!!! Not really. It might be good just that i don't know much about it. What I do know is that I used desert burn hoodia and lost 33 pounds and have kept it off for over 3 years now. I had back surgery in 04 and put on some weight because I was laying on my back recovering for a while. My buddy mark is practically a personal trainer although not certified or anything, just that hes really up on all the latest fitness and nutrition supplements and stuff. Anyhow, I asked him what to do and he told me he heard good things about hoodia. I did some research and found out the desert burn was one of the best. I got some and took it on the first day and literally forgot to eat. My appetite is very strong I might ad so when i forget to eat it's kind of a minor miracle.     yes, whatever you are doing now is wrong. first get a good diet plan. make adjustments to your diet. It???s just not only about changing what you eat, but also changing your eating habits, the way you eat, the size of your meals, the time of day in which you eat certain food groups, the time between meals, and the number of meals you eat each day. All this can have a bigger effect on your weight loss.
    then do cardiovascular training, resistance training, and stretching. these are all important and you should do to lose weight.
