    First--- you must consume fewer calories than you burn off.
    So cardio-running, exercise classes, just get moving.
    Eat what you like in small portions, very very small, just enough to keep you going. if you must eat fresh veggies (few few fruits, little bitty amounts ) in between meals. Drink lots of water.NO calorie soda, no fried foods if possible, grilled fish is great and you can eat a decent ammount, also shrimp (not fried) is good. See food as a source of energy only not a treat. Let your treats be hair, nails, clothes, walks music books smiles sunshine but not food!!
    After you reduce your weight and are close to your ideal weight add weight training- wasting time before that.
    Sit ups etc.
    I was size 14/ 16 joined a gym went twice a day at first, ate just enough to get by. Dropped to about 125 started weight training and was size 0 within a year or so.(finally dropped to about 105 but that was probably too thin--. It changes your whole life... now I'm putting it back on.. up to size 4/ 6 so intend to get busy and keep it off more.. in order to maintain it has to be a lifestyle choice.. not a diet, you really have to work on healthy thinking living and not letting others "trigger" negative behavior in you.. you have to want it!!
    You have to want to be healthy and thin more than you want to eat. Before that your only kidding yourself.
    If you have personal issues that are blocking your doing what you want to do for yourself identify them and determine they are not stronger than your desire to be all you can be. I promise it is worth it!!!

    Forget situps and crunches, leg lifts, from lying down position,will make your stomach flat. You can start with knee lifts, and even do this in bed. Stretching exercises that completely extend and contract muscles will help you lose wt. and also shape your body. Example from all 4s position alternate pulling knee to chest and then extend leg as far back and up as is comfortable. do variations of this.

    the best advice i was given was:
    loose 500 calories a day with some form of a workout
    do this everyday
    that amounts to 3500 calories a week
    which is the same as lossing 1 lb of fat
    wooooo

    Stop eating! Just messing....
    Eat a healthy balanced diet and join a local gym. Make a deal with yourself that you will go twice a week after school/work and just do it. Keep reminding yourself the end result will be great.

    for a flat belly i would definately do situps! bulk situps.. it makes ur stomach feel heaps better!! haha thats what ive found anyways.
    and maybe running if you wanna tone up?
    try and get more active :D
    the right foods are important as well!!

    A high protein low fat diet. Cardio 3 times a week and weight training 3 times a week. When lifting weights tighten your core (this will not only help you keep your back safe from injury but work your abs too).
    Add ab work.3-4 days a week. Shape.com is a good site to get good workouts. I do plank pose for 1 minute 3 times when working out.

    You probably already have a 'shape body'! In fact I'd stake my life on it. Not on your body, you understand! On the fact that you already have a 'shape body'.
    Whether it's a good shape or not, I don't know.
    The answer to a flat belly is lay of the chocolate and cream cakes, and work out regularly. Don't eat and sit in front of the TV (or the computer)
