I was just wondering how do anerexics lose weight so fast. All of the weight loss sites I have seen state that if you go too low on your calories your body will hold onto that fat. Very confused????

They dont eat so their body doesnt have the food to break down to make energy and help with proper cell function so it breaks down things like protein which is basically the work-horse of the body because most of the things are made of protein so little by little the body breaks down everything in the body and thats why it can be fatal if not taken cared of,

anorixia is when u basically over do excerise to the point where its unhealthy, and self starvation. bulimia is where u binge and throwup.and to all the retards who said theyre dumb people who have this are not dumb or stupid there regular its a mental disorder, they dont choose to be anerixic , they have a mental disability, so i think whoever said theyre dumb are the real dumb ones .

they just don't eat......so.....they lose the weight.

your body will hold on to the fat but if youre only eating 500 calories a do and using more then that moving around you use weight.
anorexics dont cheat their diet, such willpower!

they are basically fasting and their body will start consuming what it can meaning it will start using the body's resources instead, usually though fat is the last to be used from the body.

its a disease! you do not want to "try to become anorexic"

People forget anerexia is a medical condition - not just losing weight in a week. Its when your body burns fat too easily as a source of energy. Your body has around 4 different energy systems, and anerexias bodys rely too heavily on fat stores.

They don't eat anything. Your body needs energy to work, and after going without food for a while, the only place it can get energy is from fat already stored up.... they end up losing all of the excess fat, and when their body runs out of fat, it gets energy from other sources like muscle....... it's very dangerous. Anorexic people usually get really sick and sometimes die.

After not eating for long enough, your body can't store anymore and needs to use the stored fat... Anas also are meticulous over every calorie.. if it's consumed, it must be burned off.

Anorexic's do eat, It is just that they worry about it so much and get caught up in so many rules about how to do it that it becomes very hard to get anything in your mouth and if you've managed too, keep it in your body without either being sick or exercising it off. I think the whole holding onto fat problem only comes into play once you eat normally again.

They eat nothing and exercise alot

And as far as metabolism slowing down and you plateauing on a diet, that tendency of the body has been overstated, overestimated and overemphasized by people selling diet plans. If the word was spread widely that you don't have to buy a diet plan, but can just consume less, those thieves would go bankrupt tomorrow.

They do a lot of calorie burning exercise like running and stairmaster. They lose a lot of muscle mass, so they don't look toned. They look like bags of skin.

By throwing up, and taking diuretics.

Anerexics lose weight because of the stress and the tension we put on our bodies. We will look in the mirror and see something we dont like, there first thought of what to do is to lose weight. The stress i put on my body is because of the other people staring and looking at me because i am not normal. I am a human being. I never see my self ugly i just see little things that bug me giving me the mentality to lose weight.
