Is it worth it? Does it cause you to have much more bowel movements? How fast can you loose weight?

The Alli pill is about 1/2 the strength of the prescription weight loss pill that doesnt work. And it costs alot of money to. I used a plan called Shapeworks, which showed me how to eat, and I lost 95 lbs in 8 months using it, kept it off for over 5 1/2 years now. If you are going to spend money on something, Shapeworks would be worth the money for you to check out.

I think it is definitely worth a try if you are willing to improve your overall lifestyle (eating, excercising). It will help you lose weight 50% faster so if you lose 20 lbs on your own through diet and excercise than you would have lost 30lbs if you were also taking Alli.
As far as bowel movements, you take the pill with each meal, it attaches to the fat you consume and passes it through your system. So there are 2 important things to consider:
1) When you take Alli with a meal, you will likely have to use the restroom within 30 minutes or 1 hour of finishing your meal.
2) If you are trying to eat healthy foods that aren't greasy and fatty than the side effects will be manageable. If you are taking the pill and then eating fried chicken and funnel cakes sure, you're going to be in trouble. But if you follow the suggested diet changes you should be okay. Also, these side effects often service as a reminder that "hey, you need to stick to the plan, buddy!"

I heard the same, not worth the $$

my dr recommended it. she said it was the over the counter form of xenical, a weight loss drug. most insurances won't cover it so, she said to try alli. i'm kind of afraid to try it.
