you need patience and persistency. Eat a nutritious, low-fat healthy diet and excerise everyday for atleast an hour.....guaranteed weight loss right there. Things dont happen over night....it could take a year to get really slim.

WALKING...... i have seen more people lose weight in 2 months time simply by walking everyday than anything else. that and stay away from fried foods. i bet you will lose at least 15 to 20 pounds in 2 to 3 months if you walk every day and cut out the fried stuff, or sugar.

despite what comercials say there is no magical pill. The best way is to run more than you think you can. make it farther a little every time. Also muscle building techniques work. Plenty of sprints.

Step 1: Decide with your child whether or not he or she is going to attempt to lose weight and keep it off.
This decision must include very full participation by the child. It also would be wise to formulate a specific contract or plan for how this problem is going to be approached. This plan would include discussion of who will nag whom (preferably nobody nags anybody), participation in exercise, and the use of additional resources such as professional intervention (Weight Watchers or similar healthy weight loss programs).
Step 2: Attempt to modify eating and exercising patterns together.
Formulate an eating and exercise plan and try to live with it effectively in the family. This would include very low fat and very low sugar intake and a great deal of exercise. It would be most helpful if the entire family participated in this in a variety of ways to encourage your child's weight loss program.
Step 3: Use nonprofessional support weight loss programs.
The only two weight loss programs of this type that we recommend are TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a self-help club that has some participation by children with their parents, and Weight Watchers. Most people do not stay involved in these treatments for very long (75% drop out by the 12 th week of any given episode of participation usually). However, these two weight loss programs provide good info rmation, seem less coercive, and are certainly less expensive than many of the available alternatives. Nonprofessional support could also come in the form of joining a health club or using a personal trainer at a health club.
Step 4: Obtain help from professionals with expertise in cognitive-behavior therapy and weight.
Many psychologists are trained in this sub-specialty and their approach has led to some excellent outcomes (including 10-year follow-up data) for many children and their families. These doctoral level, licensed psychologists provide services that are reimbursable by many health insurance companies. These individuals can be located by asking for referrals from physicians and pediatricians, or by contacting the psychology departments of major teaching hospitals or universities in your area.
Step 5: Consider sending your child to high-quality weight loss camps or residential weight loss programs.
Sometimes getting your child out of the home and school environment can give them the fresh start they need. There are many routines that can have triggers that make it difficult to stay on track during the first month or so of a new weight loss program. By putting your child in a safe, clinically appropriate environment, they can focus on learning how to eat and stay fit. Some of these weight loss camps do not teach children how to maintain their weight over the long term. Be sure to ask about the focus of the clinical program, if the child will be able to follow the eating plan when they return home (easy to follow without a lot of special diet foods that might be hard to find at home), and if the program helps a sedentary child safely begin a fitness program.

Read some tips online, and if there is a gym close to where you live,go work out, because muscle burns fat,and go jogging everyday after work, maybe a mile or two, depending on how much you can do.

there are no magic pills or machines, drink only water, get more exercise, think before you eat, it is a slow proccess but just little changes can do a lot.

watch your diet, its really important. being active may not be enough if you dont have a good eating habits. and maybe, instead of driving to work, try walking, jogging or ride a bike.

I think you should try the herbalife diet. Before Herbalife, I weighed 210 lbs, my blood pressure ranged between 150 & 180 over 95 my cholesterol was over 300. I had shortness of breath could not walk 2 blocks without stopping to breath. I also had arthritis, felt tired all the time and had no energy. Since I have been on Herbalife Products I have lost 30lb and 29 inches in 2 months. I now walk 2.6 miles 3 times a week. I only take my blood pressure medication. I have lots of energy and feel wonderful. the website is www.loseweightongranny. ADULT NEEDED TO ORDER!!!

hey that's great that you lost weight! Has it just been from moving around??
Best way to lose weight is to count calories or follow your food guide with portion control. 80-90% of what you will lose comes from the amount of calories you are eating in a day. there are many sites like www.caloriecount.com or spark people where you can count calories for free on the site. you could also follow the food guide and eat the recommended daily servings they have listed on the site-they can even show you what the portions should look like. if you are used to eating alot, take it step by step when reducing your calories and keep moving like you are!! should come off in no time!!!

in the morning if you can wake up pretty early, thats when you have the most energy! drink a bottle of water plug in your ipod or whatever and listen to music as you run! -- thats my first step.
Then you go home, eat a really healthy breakfast like fruit salad or something thats nutritonal.
After that you pretty much clean the house or whatever maybe take a walk while its cool, walk your pet dog, if you have one, i like to spend the morning doing that while its not so hot outside!
After that you wait a few hours being active as can be, then you relax a little and do some sit ups and lift weights to your own schedule... and your own statistics like weight height goals.. or whatever.. thats what i usually do! And then i like to stretch at the beginning of the day.. haha
    MORE TIPS:
chew gum - sugar free. It makes you not snack because if you chew it, you dont want to snack because then you will have to spit out your gum! works for me..
thats my trick tip - now read the losing weight 411
EXTRA: breathing for an hour burns 60 calories, so thats a little lift off your chest haha
and sleeping is the same rate :)
excersise at least 60 minutes a day if you can :)
    -------
hey, you know what? The most unexpensive weight loss thing to do, is to try to burn more calories than you eat, dont eat unhealthy like a 500 calorie diet! All that will do is make you sick, you NEED to be healthy to lose weight properly. Im trying to lose weight too! So basically here are some tips to speed up your metabolism: Drink 1-3 glasses of green tea a day
Try and eat Chilli peppers somehow, ((chilli DUH )) they help.
8 classes of water a day
the more active you are, the faster your metabolism will grow to be.
did you know that breathing for an hour burns 60 calories all on its own? And SLEEP is very important, try to go to sleep on time and get your ages average amount of sleep,. ask your doctor what a healthy weight for you is, and then after you have reached that goal do sit ups and crutches - among many other core excersises, Run to slim out, and make sure you burn more calories than you eat - had to repeat that!
Fruits and veggies are REALLY low in calories and FULL of nutrition. If you like Tacos? Ditch the hard shell, maybe try a taco salad.. without the shell of course! Lettuce with meat is good, but PLEASE try mixing it with turkey and beef so that it isnt all fat. Chicken salad is good, you want the protein but you dont want fried anything really, once in a while if fine but remember - YOU HAVE TO BURN OFF THOSE EXTRA CALORIES. Excersises excersise excersise. Dont over do it - dont starve yourself, be moderate and stay active. GOOGLE: 100 ways to burn 100 calories, their are some pretty cool things you can do!
Stay away from starchy and high carb foods - mostly white things. Bread is a bad, so try to stick to thin, HIGH in fiber, slices :)
you can google all the stuff and before you know it you will feel so good about it all and IM actually excited to start working out and all that, just because I know what it will do for me!
but if you must go with a diet, try Weight Watchers, its the only one I actually recommend. :)

machines are for those who are injured or w.e the best way to burn fat the safest way is to run....keep on running get your heart pumping...do this for the whole summer and i guarteen you will see some results...
now that was the advice for workouts.....
workingout alone wont burn fat...what you eat is very important...try not to eat past 7pm....its hard but very effective...instead of eating those 3 traditional meals eat 5 short small meals(healthy!)....if you are eating sallads then try not to put all that junk on it to make it taste good such as croutons and so on

eat healthy and exercise at least 6 days a week. you can start at 5 days to get used to it but you should do 6 days a week. and i know it will be tempting to eat junkie foods but the end result of staying away from them will make you more happy than what you are about to put in your mouth.
