    i am 17 and really obsessed with my weight. i know i need to lost about 10 pounds, but i am not sure how to do that in a healthy way.
    I eat alot, sort of binge eating.....then i feel really guilty and sometimes make myself throw up...
    or i just exercise really really hard.
    how do i control my eating so i dont over eat?
    and how do i get a better self image of myself

    Take it from me - when you have an unhealthy obsession with weight, there's no real "healthy" way to lose it... I have this problem as well

    I have the exact same problem.
    I can't turn on the TV without wishing I'd had this good-looking person's flat stomach, etc.
    If your BMI is in the normal weight range, you've got nothing to worry about.
    Just do a lot of running/jogging, and limit how much you eat. I know that's hard it's really hard for me but give it a shot. Or if you feel like eating switch your unhealthy cravings if you got any to stuff like apples and oranges.
    Basically, do anything to distract and relax yourself so you don't find yourself opening the fridge.

    Try this Exercise:
    3 days of cardio exercise per week (20 minutes)
    3 days of weight training per week (45 minutes)
    1 day off
    Diet:
    six small meals a day for six days
    - one serving of protein
    - one serving of complex carbs
    - all the veggies you want
    one free day per week, eat anything you want
    If you do their program for 12 weeks (and you're a guy), you can easily lose 35 pounds and get rock-hard muscle

    You actually do not need to lose 10 pounds. You need to focus on something else.
    Your whole question smacks of self-deception. If you really were intent upon developing a better self-image, you wouldn't be asking how to keep from over-eating, you'd be asking if your current BMI is objectively healthy for a girl your age.
    Eat until you're satisfied. Then do something you enjoy, something you're responsible for, or something that gets you further in life. Until you're occupied and accomplishing things, attaining self-satisfaction, you're going to keep on thinking about nothing but yourself, and you'll just never be happy.
