does anyone in here have any instructions for healthy dog weight loss,My dog is obese and I want to start a weight loss scheme with him tommorrow but I would like it to be a healthy scheme anyone here have tried and tested result and instructions for me please?

I also discussed this with my vet, who gave me the same suggestions my MD did for my weight loss: less food, more exercise.

Healthy high protein dry dog food (no filler ie: first ingridient corn) follow recommended feeding instructions on package and take your dog for a walk every day, it benefits both of you. If possible take it to a dog park and let it play around for an hour several times a week.

Only give your dog 1-2 cups of food daily.

try feed him half the normal klibble amount and putting the same amount of green beans to equal the same amount of food that jyou feed now.

You need to cut down on the amount you are feeding. Treats should be limited and if treats are given, you should decrease the amount of food in the meals. Your dog should also be taken on frequent long walks or be given some kind of activity where he will get some exercise.

walk him everyday for 1 or 2 hours and give him a healhier choice of food

Lower calorie dog food and more exercise.

Less dog food, more often and lots and lots of exercise.
You have to walk your dog to help burn those extra calories!
They have leaner versions of dog food for overweight dogs in better pet stores.
