Cardio is such a great way to stay in shape and really works your whole body.
Also try and switch up your routine of running. Use different trails to go on, or do some interval running and incline(uphill) running. Your body easily adapts to excerise after weeks/months.
If you see your body isn't responding as well, change the workout up!

Don't get me wrong -- jogging is good for you and it's a great fat-burner, but my co-worker runs five miles a day and he's still about 40 pounds overweight. So don't look at jogging as the Holy Grail of weight loss. It's just one tool in the toolbox. Eating a well-balanced diet and keeping the "bad for you" stuff to a minimum is even more important because your diet will make you or break you.
