2011-11-04 23:45:07 +0000Not at all, the only thing that works is diet and exercise.
Cutting carbs does work wonders, but you'll still need to exercise.

2011-11-04 23:49:28 +0000It's not what you eat exactly, but how many calories you are taking in. Today I have eaten nothing but rubbish but it was still not enough to make me turn obese.
Some people though are more pre-disposed to carrying fat cells than others and thus weigh a few extra lbs.

2011-11-05 00:07:42 +0000I think 100% of them are scams.
Diets work short term by starving your body of a substance you need, you still need fat in your diet, you still need sugars, its all about everythig in moderation.
Diets are basically impossible to stick to so once you get off them and have those carbs you have been avoiding your body stores it as fat instead of burning it when it cab, its the bodies "safty mode" its savig it for of/when you starve your body again.
these are such unhealthy ways to lose weight.
The best way to loose weight is a BALANCED diet. Everything in moderation, allow yourself treats and your favourite"naughty" food, just dont over indulge.
As well as that regular exercise is really important.
The problem is most of society isn't educated properly, they have no idea what a balanced diet is, its one extreme to another, some will eat loads of salads with lots of fish, poultry and meats, but are missing out on fiber. Others may eat lots of fiber and vegetables but might not eat enough iron enriched foods. Some are completely clueless and can't cook, wont cook so takeaways are easier. Nutrition should be taught at school, and how to cook properly.
.
Also exercise in school is shameful, when I was at school you had one hour of physical active a week, we had no choice in what we did. If schools spent time finding out what type of exercise a student likes, they would more likely continue it later in life.
I love swimming, dance, cross country and arobics (spelling) but was made to play ball sports and avoided PE because I hated it and have bad coordination (bad eye sight) others liked football, basket ball, cricket etc, but were made to do dance and arobics. Its stupid, we had no choice and couldn't change.
So to round it up, so many people are sucked into the promise of an easy way out, but if they were educated properly, they wouldn't have that problem in the first place and they would know quick fixes dont work.
