On the first dose her weight stayed level and now increased dose co-incides with weight loss she now weighs the same as she did when 7, 3 years ago. The information suggests the drug not suitable for under 12s but no reference is made to weight loss.

Anorexia is an infrequent side effect. After researching the effects in children, I would not let my child take it. There are other drugs for the same purpose.
