Ask:I need help with the mental side of weight loss

Here's the deal. I am a smart woman who has taken a nutrition class. I am comfortable with my body, but I'd like to be healthier. I'm not lazy in areas of my life that I care about. I KNOW what foods are bad and what are good. I KNOW that I need to exercise.
Yet I can't get motivated to exercise. And I keep making bad choices when it comes to food.
How do I beat this? How do I change my thoughts so I can change my lifestyle?
    HELP!

lol you are not alone that's like the majority of ppl's problem...anyways start small, make a different change every day and keep adding to it..like start with a healthy breakfast and see how that makes you feel...if you don't like the gym, go for a walk around the block and call it a night and then next day add to it...As you makes these changes and begin to notice how you feel, this will slowly motivate you to eat better and more move...Also don't ban any food groups cause that could cause you to feel deprived..moderation is the key...Also practice postive affirmations and don't beat yourself up when you slip up...we are all human.

for exercise, try doing different things once in a while. sign up for some yoga and/or some dancing aerobics classes. both will have different daily activities that will be fun and challenging at the same time. find the thing that you like and stick to it. once you do, youll find yourself feeling better and staying consistent with exercise. as for eating, do not eat when you are bored or are feeling in a bad mood. eating then gives you a greater chance of eating things you know are bad for you and you will probably eat a lot more than you should. whenever you feel like eating something bad, think of this: eat to live, not live to eat. eat to feel nourished, not eat to feel good. also have friends do all this with you so you will feel that you are not alone and to help motivate you. hope this helps.
