2008-05-16 16:14:44I work out with a trainer 2 x per week and walk a lot as well as some cardio, but I have very poor eating habits. I don't have a clue how many fat/calories I should intake in a day and what foods to eat? Can someone help me??

fresh fruit
raw veggies
baked fish
juice (watch out for hgh amounts of sugar)
skim milk
soy milk/ soy products
salad with light dressing
deli sandwiches
and stay away from fried foods, fast food, candy, junk food, soda, etc
and the rest you are already taking care of

2008-05-16 16:28:36I've had 4 kids and gained a ton of weight with each pregnancy. Weight watchers is really good for an on-going program. Adkins is good if you only have about 5 - 10 lbs. to lose and can then get off of it because it isn't very healthy.
A little trick is to write down everything you put in your mouth. It will make you think before you take a nibble of your kids' food!!! Good luck and stay healthy and happy for you and your family. To be a good mom you have to take care of yourself first and be happy about it!

When I listen to music geared toward weight loss, then I'm constantly reminded of my weight loss goal, and it helps me fight my temptation for that extra cookie. I personally like SkinnySongs. 2008-05-16 16:25:04If your trainer can't help you with that information ask if they know a nutritionist. If not, ask your doctor.
Be careful if your nursing and rest when the baby does.
Getting enough rest is important too.
