2006-12-16 19:34:39Ok so here's the deal. Im 19, 5ƌ", 154 lbs and a size 13. I had my son 3 months ago. Its not that easy to get to the gym so id like some AT HOME excersise ideas. I dont have free weights either so dont suggest anything that involves them. Im also not into Yogo or pilates so dont suggest that either. I just want some workouts.

They will ask you questions and design your plan for you, such as your meals, WORKOUTS, and set goals for you. They also have a lot of chat rooms where people join to support each other. 2006-12-16 19:52:26If you have stairs, do as many runs as you can before you start feeling your legs burn. If you are sore the next day, that's really good. It means you have made progress in any way. Soreness seems bad, but is really, really good.
If you don't have stairs, try holding a large book in between your legs and squeezing. It seems dumb, but it really works your thighs. And you can do it while sitting, so you can watch t.v.
You can also try squats. Instead of just bending down to pick up things, squat. See how low you can get before you sit on your heels. When you get stronger, lean against a wall and stay squatted for as long as you can. It strengthens your thighs A LOT.
Take your son on walks, and try to pick the pace up a little, especially up hills. Also, remember to eat well and ONLY EAT WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY. NEVER NIBBLE.

Do push-ups (start with the "girl" kind, on your knees, if you can't do the "guy" or straight-leg kind, but work up to the straight leg kind). Do sit-ups. Get a bar and set it up in a doorway and do chin-ups. These exercises require using your own body weight for resistance and are as helpful as lifting dumbbells for various body parts.
Do lots of squats. Stand with legs apart in a V, feet slightly out, and just squat down. You'll feel it in your upper thighs, and it works your fanny better than anything else. Lunges work similar muscle groups.
Jumping jacks are a great aerobic work-out, but they can be tough on the knees. If you have high ceilings, get a jump rope, also another good one for working on endurance.
Get some exercise videos (try collagevideo.com) and work out to those. There are some that don't require any equipment. Many of them will kick your butt and are very effective. Good luck!
