Is there anyone out there currently using a prescription weight loss medication? Or have you used one in the past? I am seriously overweight and have used phentermine in the past. Great results, just not permanent. Please give me your answers about what worked/didn't work for you!

Phentermine is GREAT and worked GREAT for me!!!!!
Unfortunately there is nothing that you can take for weight loss that is permanent, wouldn't that be wonderful!!!
If you lose weight with phentermine or any other weight loss aide(s) or diet(s) and fail to exercise and eat healthy regularly you will gain the weight back and probably more!!!!!

P.S. Before I discovered phentermine, for 2 years I tried numerous over the counter diet pills/fat burners and got NO results. The only thing I lost was my money and time!!!

The problem with diet pills even prescription ones is that if you don't make any permanent changes to your lifestyle and eating habits you won't have lasting results. You need to consider some lifestyle changes before seeing your doc for meds again.

I would recommend doing something more natural. Weight loss pills can seriouslly affect your health. I once used pills and I had health problems from it, including becoming very moody and depressed. The safest thing to do is change your lifestyle, watch what you eat and exercise. It makes me sad that doctors are so quick to give someone a quick fix. There is no quick fix to weight loss. The only thing that worked for me was about a year in the gym several times a week and eating very carefully. I'd rather that there were a pill to do it, but there isn't.

NOthing will keep you thin, if you do not change your everyday way of eating. It is totally different to (1) eat until you are full (2) eat until you are no longer actually hungry. When you learn to stop eating as soon as your hunger stops, you will 'get' thin and 'stay' thin.
