Ask:quick but relatively healthy weight loss
2007-04-14 16:47:21I'm one of the college freshmen that suffers from the freshmen 15.. unfortunately, mine was more like the freshmen 25... I weighed 117 when I arrived at school and I now weigh about 129/130 (which is less than I used to be!). Anyway, I'm starting to panic because I want to do a diet that can help me lose weight fast and get back to around 120ish... is anyone knowledgeable in this field? I know losing that much weight this fast is not the healthiest thing to do, but let's just say I need to lose some weight... sort of like a post-break up revenge sort of thing, but I need to lose it as fast as possible... like within the next 2-3 weeks.... can anyone help!?

2007-04-14 16:57:14find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

2007-04-17 16:39:22There are a few basic principles that everyone should keep in mind when searching for healthy weight loss diet plan.Let's mention them briefly.
First, many experts would probably agree that the solution to America's weight problem can be summed up in one phrase: calories in, calories out. Speaking strictly about weight loss (not necessarily about health), in order to lose weight you must burn off more calories than you consume.
Second, look for something that makes good nutritional sense to you. A weight loss diet that promises a 10-pound loss in a weekend might sound great, but if you achieve that loss by consuming only some special juice or lemon water for three days, you're probably smart to give that program the heave-ho. A healthy weight loss diet plan will allow you to consume fewer calories without losing vital nutrients or risking your health.
Third, You must make sure you have time to buy and prepare the food. If you run out, the temptation to eat forbidden foods will be enormous. It's also important that you don't feel deprived and so don't choose a weight loss diet plan which is inflexible or overly strict. It is possible to lose weight and still enjoy occasional treats.
You should also be able to follow an eating pattern which keeps your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day, ensuring that you don't experience hunger pangs which can lead to mini-binges, which in turn often causes people to give up the weight loss diet completely.

2007-04-14 16:59:21My husband and I both went to the Weight Control Centers and took a daily appetite suppressant and a monthly B-12 shot. I started in Aug of 06 and as of April 5th I have lost 33lbs total. It is all done by a doctor and is safe. It also doesn't cost to much.

2007-04-14 16:54:01Hello. I'm sorry, but quick weight loss is not healthy weight loss. We can try to justify our reasons for why we do it, but we know it to be harmful to our bodies, and unsuccessful in the long run. The media has really bombarded us with images of stick thin young ladies (who are probably the most miserable people in the world), who are setting very low standards, and we buy into it. Your health is the most important thing. Instead of seeking revenge on an ex boyfriend, focus on the benefits of healthy eating and exercise, and what they will do for YOU! Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I hope this helps you.
