2007-11-12 11:51:19I really don't think there is a quick and easy way to lose weight. Or if there is then I wish someone had told me.
I have recently lost 48lbs. It took me just over 5 months. I think it was fairly quick, but it certainly was not easy. I worked really hard to achieve my goal. I dropped 4 dress sizes. The results are amazing.
I ate only:-
Lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, vegetables (including potatoes), fresh fruit, brown rice and brown pasta, wholegrains, beans and pulses, skimmed milk, low fat dairy products, cereals - non sugary varieties, coffee, tea and sugar free beverages, Healthy oils, (olive, sunflower, safflower, flaxseed and rapeseed) limited to 2tsp a day.
Did not eat:
Take away meals, ready made meals you buy in the supermarket, processed meats, biscuits, cakes, sweets, chocolate, sugar fizzy drinks, alcohol. All these foods are high in saturated fat, sugar and salt. These add to those unwanted pounds. These foods I can have now but ONLY IN MODERATION.
I also joined a gym. Attended 5/6 times a week for 1 hour or more. This I know accelerated my weight loss (and still do to maintain my weight).
Once you have lost the weight you have to change your lifestyle for good. Otherwise all the weight which was lost will go back on again, plus more. That's why so many people put weight back on again once they stop dieting.

2007-11-12 11:25:28Quick Weight loss is not a very healthy means of losing weight and can lead to rebound.
My immediate response is that if it is important enough to you you need to find time to focus some attention on a systematic approach to permanant lifestyle change and weight loss.
Start by reducing the amount of calories you tak ein smaller portions eat whole foods less sugars & fats.
And Move more, get into a regular fitness program.
I am not sure how long it took you to gain the weight you are at but it won't burn away over night,
You will get out of it what you put in!.
Good Luck
