    Salam brothers & sisters :)
    I pray & hope that you're enjoying the Holy month of Ramadan, I pray it brings us all glad tidings and rewards from Allah subhanahu wa taala.
    Now my question:
    I have been fasting since I was 12 and every Ramadan I've fasted so far I have lost between 7 and 10 kilos. Now you must know, I never wanted to loose weight because I am healthy & I don't need to loose any weight. This is my 15th ramadan by the way.
    I'd like to know if anyone has had similar experience?
    During this sacred month, I can hardly eat. After spending the entire day fasting, I would break my fast with a date or two and water, then pray Maghrib then make a pint of fruit or vegetable juice.
    After salat Al'Ishaa I might have a cup of tea with a slice of brown toast and that's it.
    I wake up before fajr to drink some water and I force myself to eat 4 or 5 big spoons of yoghurt then maybe a banana, I drink water pray and go to sleep.
    I don't sleep very well too and I do get pretty cranky sometimes and cry for no reason.
    I am beginning to think that perhaps my body is detoxing during Ramadan because I can't eat big food. Once I had some halal salami with cheese for souhur and ended up throwing up just after I prayed fajr.
    Is this normal? Seriously, before Ramadan I am 5Ɖ and 56kg and once it's over I am still 5Ɖ but my weight drops to 49 kgs. The first 10 days of Ramadan I was able to do yoga with no struggle at all but I had to stop because I feel weak & lightheaded.

    Fasting for one month is very unhealthy, and even dangerous. Your body goes crazy.

    same here lol but what i do is eat slowly..
    so i have a glass of milk and few dates then i pray maghrib.. i then have a small meal and in the evening before bed i have chopped fruit and icecream.. u got to eat something or you'll be weak all day. i started ramadan off like that and lost lots and now i follow the above and i'm ok :)

    Whoever told you that fasting has physical benefits has lied to you.
    Your own experience is the perfect counter-example to the lies you have been fed.
