any recomended books or websites for the best pregnancy diet? (not weight loss!)
i'm a bad eater, but want to make sure my baby has the best possible diet so are there any decent books/sites which tells me the best foods to eat (apart from the obvious fruit n veg!) thanks

No book is going to put the food (or not put the food) into your mouth. You already know what is good for you - fruits, veggies, lean meats, proteins, low fat dairy and stay away from the junk food and empty calories. It's up to you to have the will power to put the good things into your body for that baby. Make sure you're on a prenatal vitamin. You need at least 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies. Stay away from fried foods. Stick with lean meats - poultry. Not too much fish - only once or twice a week MAX. Switch to a low percent milk. No processed cheeses. Stay away from cheddar and american - switch to swiss for sandwhiches. Watch portion controls...... You only need 300 extra calories a day for your pregnancy. Do you know what that equates to? One yogurt and a banana. It's not a lot. Make sure to drink A LOT of water - no sodas - or at least switch to caffeine free and diet. Good luck.
