Ive not lost a single ounce in three months and its getting very old, very fast. I cannot afford to get the proper body composition testing done to see how much muscle Ive gained, but I should still be loosing weight regardless. Its obvious with the pinch test that muscle gain alone does not compensate for the halt in weight loss. If anyone can help with any advice other than the obvious then PLEASE let me know.
Tried: changing workout, increasing weights, increasing protein, added in a break (weekends) , was doing cardio 7x/week.
I drink a gallon water a day, an hour in the sauna 4x/week, an hour of cardio 5x a week, and 45min of weights 3x/week. I'm not over on my calories. I eat a balanced diet of whole foods with the proper ratio of macronutrients & fiber everyday, take a multivitamin & don't drink, smoke or any drugs
11/25/2006 = 234lbs
Since 7/15/2007 = 200lbs, 5ཆ", 32y/o

2007-11-29 10:44:24Do you track your calories? Have you tried eating more? Since you've lost a good amount of weight so far and have increased your workouts since beginning your weight loss routine, your calorie needs have probably changed.
For example I use sparkpeople.com to track my calories and they give me a range based on my work out level and weight, when there is a big change (like over 30 pounds or major increase in exercise) the calorie range will change.
Good luck

2007-11-29 11:02:04Without knowing more about your training and you in general I'd eyeball that and say that you're in desperate need of a break. You're overworking.
I see this type of thing a lot with my clients. When it comes to body composition, more is not always better. The body responds better to acute stimuli rather than low, chronic stimuli.
First things first, I'd get a handle on you calories if you don't already as the poster above you indicated. Then I would bump them up for a week by 250-500 calories per day while dropping a couple of cardio sessions and a weight training session. I know, you think you're going to gain weight, and you might actually pick up a pound or two but it'll be mostly water weight from more food.
Then focus on intensity after your week break. Look into doing some interval training as opposed to the 45:00 minute steady-state cardio sessions. Drop the time you're working out, but up the intensity.
Keep your food up a bit. If you're running on starvation (even with higher calorie intake, we're talking about the net effect) then the body will eventually respond with holding its resources. When that happens you need to convince it that you're not in danger of starving by:
a) Increasing your caloric intake
b) Decreasing your workout volume
c) Both (since you've been stuck for three months this would be your option)

2007-11-29 11:12:42Have your testosterone and estrogen levels tested.
If you have low testosterone or high estrogen
then your hormones are making your fat loss
an uphill battle.
Men's testosterone levels start to recede at 30
in many cases.
I had been eating right and working-out
with weights and cardio for over a year
with slow progress. it turned-out that my
testosterone level is lower than normal.
