2008-03-11 16:23:30Losing calories is the main bit.You will lose calories faster by dieting,than exercising.The trick is to concentrate 70% diet and 30 exercise.Women need on average to take in each day 2000 calories.Less bread,meat,sugar,more fruit,veg and pasta and rice.Definitely no gym,as you will build up body mass which can easily turn to fat.Exercise should be jogging,tennis,cycling,team sports etc.Eat 1500 calories and a 5k jog is a loss of 300cal which equals 1200cal.With that the weight so come off nicely.But remember exercise with no dieting will give pitiful results

2008-03-12 01:13:51A high protien diet with an intense weights work out is likely to pile the pounds on rather than lose the weight. Remember that muscle weighs heavier than fat so bulking up (And thats what this would do to you) will have the reverse effect of what your wanting.
The best way is probably just to have a well rounded diet getting all forms of nutrition that you need. Swap out white bread, pasta and rice for the wholemeal varients, try and drink at least 2 litres of water a day. Be sure to eat 5 fruit and veg a day (I recommend 3 veg and 2 fruit), trim the fat of fatty meats e.g. steak. Check out fitness mags, sites, or ask a trainer in your gym for the best choice's, but eating too much protien and neglecting everything else wil result in failure.
