2007-11-26 22:21:53It helps greatly to lose weight if you don't eat 3 hours befor you go to sleep, because this way you will burn more calories during rest and will be less hungry. Don't overexaggerate it too much! Make it so that it is 3 hours before your usual bedtime.. if you go to bed at 7, then the 4:00 plan will deffinately work for you! =P

2007-11-26 22:22:21as long as you don't gorge during the day in anticipation of your dinner fast. Also keep a low fat with a moderate amount of calories daily i don't see a major problem. BUT you shouldn't have to do this because the major problem with doing this is when you finally do eat at night you will over eat. Keep it at 2000 calories less daily and you should be fine. If you can keep it less than 2000 calories than it really doesn't matter when you eat.

2007-11-26 22:20:48no its not healthy. It would be better to eat your diner as a light meal, like a salad or something, but just cut back the calories. Also more small meals are better then 3 large ones and try reducing your calorie intact by 10 to 15% overall. This will help you lose weight safely

But everything I have read... calories go in they have to go out. Yes your body slows down at night. The metabolism is less. But in reality you eat 2000 calories at midnight or 2000 before 4pm. The body has to get rid of them either way.
Im pretty sure it doesnt matter what time you eat them.
Its never been proven that if you eat before bed you will gain weight. Calories are calories take them in, get rid of them. Time isnt an issue.

2007-11-26 22:21:56I don't think anything is wrong with it as long as you've had your daily caloric intake and the nutritions which your body needs . It also depends on how early you wake up and what time you'll be going to sleep. The key is not to deprive your body of what it needs. If you deprive it then you'll be more likely to crash and not be able to keep up with this or any diet plan on a long term basis.

I mean think about it. If you go eat a 900 calorie breakfast burrito from mcdonalds or someplace for breakfast and then go have a 500 calorie hot dog with a 300 calorie bag of chips and maybe a few hundred calories worth of snacks, cutting out dinner won't do a thing.
Now if you have maybe a hard boiled egg and some fruit and glass of fat free milk for breakfast, a grilled chicken salad with vinegrette dressing for lunch or something healty like that, it will work. But if you do that then you might as well eat a healthy dinner too.
Cutting out a meal from your diet isn't really a good way to lose weight.
And of course you can drink water. In fact, you are supposed to drink a lot of water when you are dieting. Soda is a no. Fat free milk is a yes (i mean like 2 or 3 glasses a day though). Juices are a no actually since they usually have a high sugar content. Alcohol is a no too (sorry : ) since it has sugar and carbs and could also make you not care about your diet as much.

2007-11-26 22:21:37I would not suggest that plan. It is good to not eat after a certain time at night, but I doubt you go to bed early enough for 4PM to be the appropriate cut off time. You will likely end up starving right before bed time and binging, which will have negative results because eating right before bed is not a good idea and when you are hungry you will eat more. It will also damage your metabolism if you don't keep a steady pace in your diet because your body will think it is starving and hold on to calories instead of burn them.

2007-11-26 22:20:21NO this can be bad and can actually create metabolism problems. Instead of just not eating have a smaller lunch ad a smaller dinner. But don't just not eat.
