2007-09-29 07:33:31I need some help. I have no problem with eating the same thing every day if it means weight loss. This is all in addition to exercise.
Breakfast so far I have:
2 egg whites
(What else could I have?)
Lunch so far:
Salad (dressing I will choose and eat appropriate amount)
Dinner so far:
Boiled chicken breast w/ lemon juice (Seriously good)
Or grilled salmon with lemon juice
What else could I add?
Any recommendations for a snack? What else could I add?
I plan on starting this Monday so please, any help would be great.

2007-09-29 07:50:48I consider myself an semi-pro at the diet business. I have dieted most of my adult life and I can tell you this (and I know a nutritionist will agree with me): you are not eating enough calories. When you put yourself on such a limited amount of calories, your body thinks it is being starved so your metabolism starts to shut down.
If you continue with this sparse food plan, you will wind up eating everything in sight sooner rather than later. It's simply not healthy for you!
What I suggest you do is to follow a well balanced diet (such as Weight Watchers) so you can feel better and be healthier at the same time. There are so many diet books for you to read. Go to the library and take one out to get some ideas.
You need fruit and vegetables and fat (yes, fat) throughout the day. Be good to yourself: follow a food plan that will satisfy you while you lose weight. This is the only way you will ever maintain a weight loss. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.
If a food plan - supplements and pills - sounds too good to be true, it is. Good luck.

2007-10-06 23:53:53Definitely agree with Juanitaville.
Think of your body as a fine sports car it is constantly burning fuel to keep going, but after a certain point if it has no fuel coming in (read: food), it ain't goin anywhere! Eating more will help you lose weight since you're powering up your metabolism so that it may break down all the excess fat you've got. Eat less, and eventually you'll be starving and wanting to eat all in sight!

2007-09-29 07:41:06Snacking on fruit (esp. grapes) is a very good choice. It looks like you do need some fruit in your diet!
And make sure your salad is healthy. I would not recommend dressing, as it adds a lot of fat. Do not just have ice berg lettuce, have more green in it.
And skip the croutons, if you want the healthiest salad possible. Believe it or not, croutons actually have oil and fat.
But yeah, that's about it. Eat more fruit and veggies! :)

2007-09-29 07:41:48I think you have a lot to choose from. It just would depend on what you like. You can have low calorie bread and make toast to eat in the morning, or some cottage cheese or a bowl of cereal.
I would recommend like soup for lunch.
Dinner - try like some rice, or veggies or yogurt. And for snack - apples, pears, any fruit
