2012-02-03 19:16:00 +0000people always say how if you eat too little, your metabolism slows, and you actually gain weight.
but i used to be 5ཆ 220lbs, and pretty much started only eating maybe 2 small meals a day, sometimes only one. now im 5ཆ and 177lbs. my stomach just shrunk to the point were i get full very fast, and i have always had a problem with my metabolism.
so im confused were people say if you eat too little, you gain weight? exact opposite happened to me.. lol

Because if you think about it, if you're not putting anything in to your body then how can it be stored as fat?
But if you eat too little, your body goes into starvation mode, in which is loses very little fat no matter how much exercise you do because it tries to reserve all the fat.
But if you starve yourself for a long period of time, you eventually start losing weight, but very slowly.
That's why if you want to lose weight, you would lose it quicker by eating healthily and exercising instead of starving yourself.
