Ask:Weight loss too slow
2011-06-24 14:55:45 +0000Ok I started losing weight at the beginning of March. Since then I have lost 70 pounds. Is this a normal rate? I've heard it's fast, but it seems sooo slow to me. I am exercising on my elliptical and I eat less fat, calories, and carbs. Usually around 800 to 1000 calories a day. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I am 29 years old, female, with PCOS

2011-06-24 15:00:36 +0000Thats too little calories. Once you stop the diet and revert back you'll gain back all you've lost. Low fat is a myth, fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do. You can read "good calories, bad calories" by gary taubes if you want to find out more. So enjoy your steak but drop the soda. 2000 calories while restricting carbs to 40g/day is good, it should cut down a lot of fat. But only if you stay on it
