Ask:Weight loss support for my mom
2007-12-04 06:00:40My mom has been trying to lose weight for almost a month and already drives me crazy! All she talks about is diets, Pilates, calories, fats, and fitness. I`m happy she wants to change her lifestyle but I`m quite busy and I don`t have plenty of time to listen to her. Me and my sister thought it`d be great to have her join a weight loss club or something, so she`ll make friends and share experiences. Any ideas?

2007-12-04 06:04:56Have her try the weight loss clubs at projectweightloss.com. She`ll find there lots of friends and a community dedicated to weight loss support. She`ll also find there a diet and fitness planner, nice weight charts, carb, fat, calorie, and protein counter, and forums where she can ask for advice from other people with the same problems. Your mom may be quite stressed by her diet program. Weight loss can be fun you know, and now I`m talking from my own experience.

2007-12-04 06:06:24Weight Watchers has group meetings where members can share their experiences, recipes, challenges, etc. They also have a website with a message board where, if I'm not mistaken, anyone can post messages for free. She might be able to find some diet buddies on there to support her. Also, if she works at a workplace maybe she can find another dieter there, and they can motivate eachother. It's great you're trying to be supportive.
