    I've been told I have fatty liver with mild inflammation so I was instructed to lose weight and eat healthy to get rid of the fat off my liver. When I was diagnosed with it I was 190 lbs. (26 years old). High cholesterol and triglycerides too. So I changed my lifestyle, I cut out the potato chips, soda and all I eat is chicken, fish, fruits and vegetables and fiber cereals. I am definitely not starving myself but I do eat less than I used to (binge eater). I exercise daily (40 minutes moderate/light cardio). Now over a month I lost 10 lbs and now a week or two pass by and I'm losing 2 lbs. My weight keeps dropping (now 175 lbs), so I'm concerned whether or not this is healthy or a symptom because I know some conditions their symptoms is weight loss and also if I engaged in rapid weight loss it will be harmful to my liver. Am I doing the right thing? I've been avoiding intaking a lot of carbs should I eat a little more carbs this time? When is my weight going to stabilize?

    You do not want to cut out carbs completely, it is unhealthy. Your body needs carbs for energy. The best thing to do is cut calories, and do as you are, eating healthier foods. Two lbs a week is a good rate to lose. Doctors just don't want you to go overboard and lose 10 lbs a week. I think you are doing good. Good luck!

    You need to follow the advice of your doctor and a nutritionist first, but beyond that I do not equate cutting out carbs with healthy eating. Carbs are not inhernetly bad for most people.

    I don't think you are doing anything wrong. You may want to keep a few more carbs like pasta & wheat bead in your diet. You will need those for fuel to excercise. The fact that you did cut so many carbs out is why you lost quickly. That is why everyone likes the low carb diets at first but never stick with them. You lose a lot at the beginning, then it tappers off
